Beach Volleyball 2022

26-Jan 2022

Shhh ... Well actually shout it from the treetops so everyone is aware  -

Beach Volleyball will be on Saturday 13 August 2022!

The date is 13 August and you can get your tickets from 8am tomorrow (14/7) here: https://cutt.ly/BV2022 and the mandatory indemnity form is available here: https://cutt.ly/BVindem

Alas it has to be pointed out because naughty people often break the rules. The day is meant to be a fundraiser, think about community standards, cultural awareness and the fact that there are children present. And I can't stress this enough - it is NOT A BYO Alcohol EVENT. Anyone found with alcohol from elsewhere will be removed.

We couldn't do this event each and every year without help from our sponsors:

  • RioTinto
  • Nhulunbuy Corporation
  • Seaswift
  • Dhimurru Aboriginal Corporation
  • Nhulunbuy Speedway
  • Gove Peninsula Surf Club
  • Gove FM
  • Datjala Work Camp
  • Volleyball NT.

Thanks for your continued and ongoing support.

Beach Volleyball - 29 August 2020. 31 Years young!

04-Jun 2020

It's on again! Rotary's Annual Beach Volleyball Tournament

The event has been running with the help of local organisations for 31 years!

Of course everyone wants to hand back their 2020 mebership card because let's face it, it has not been a fun year this year. The world has been turned upside down. Isn't it time for a bit of normlacy to return?

Let's party like its the old days and come along for a day of frivilous fun and entertainment in the sun. Whether you just want to come down and support your friends, swim at the beach (which will be patrolled by our friends the Gove Peninsula Surf Lifesaving Club) or you want to come and chill out to some great commentary and tunes from the awesome Rob Stewart and Gove FM. You will also be able to grab a feed from Nhulunbuy Speedway for lunch and you have an all round great day out. You get to order from awesome structures provided by Riotinto and they also power the cold beer chillers that are provided by Seaswift! We can thank NCL for providing lots of the fencing materials and as always a huge thanks goes out to Datjala work camp for putting up and helping pull down the whole event.

Of course, you may have a bit of a competitive streak and want to beat your mates, which means you will be able to register a team to compete and forever hold bragging rights over your friends.

Beach Volleyball is a licenced event and strictly no BYO alcohol. The majority of funds raised are donated back to the local community and other local organisations. Thanks also to our volunteers for the days up tom and on the event. We couldn;t do it without you.

Save the date and see you on 29 August 2020!
